Nigeria Tuesday thrashed Argentina 4-2 in an international friendly match played in Russia, host of 2018 World Cup.
Argentina opened the scoring in the 27th minute of the game through Banega and doubled it in the 36th minute through Sergio Aguero.
However, Kelechi Ihenacho scored a superb free-kick on the 44 minutes of the first half to reduce the tally to 2-1.
In the second half, Alex Iwobi equalized for Nigeria in the 52nd minute to make it 2-2. Leon Balogun made it 3-2 for Nigeria in the 54th minute of the game while Iwobi scored his second goal of the game to make it 4-2. By this, Nigeria coasted home victory against Argentina, a two-time World Cup champions.
