A Nigerian engineer has frowned at the attitude of some young people who are fond of labelling the elderly ones as witches or wizards without ascertaining their health status.
Engr. David Akpan who, stated this Saturday in Uyo during the official book launch: The Power To Stay Healthy chronicling powerful principles of healthy living, decried the attitude of some young Nigerians in wrongfully labelling the elderly people in the society as evil ones despite their health challenges.
Unveiling the book and the health foundation, Engr. Akpan underscored the need for Nigerians to maintain a healthy living, assuring that the foundation will promote sound health for the elderly ones in the society.

While thanking the author, Mr. Itoro Paul for the book as well as his initiative in putting up the foundation, the Chairman of the occasion pledged to donate cash and health supplements to the foundation to cater for the elderly ones in the state.
He, therefore, enjoined people to take advantage of the foundation to be able to take care of the elderly in the society.
Chief Rufus Ada George, serving as the Chief Launcher unveiled the book championed under Diet and Health Foundation.
The former Rivers State Governor lauded the ingenuity of Mr Itoro Paul for bridging the gap on the dearth of sound publications to offering solution to the health needs of the populace.
Mr. George who spoke through Ataenyong Mbakara applauded the contributions of the author to remedy the increasing health challenges in the Nigerian society while recommending the book to both the younger and older citizens in Nigeria.
Speaking earlier, Mr Itoro Paul, a dietitian who doubles as the CEO of the Diet and Health Foundation, had said his idea about the publication came when he came to the realization of using the medical intuition therapy to solve his health challenges.
According to him, the book will help people to live a healthy life, enhance knowledge on lifestyle modification and proper dietary intake, stressing that his efforts has provided solutions to a number of people with health challenges.
The dietician noted that the next edition of the book will attempt to address issues raised by the book reviewer, Dr. Joseph Akpabio, adding that his publications so far have helped people suffering from hypertension, diabetes and arthritis.
The book reviewer, Dr. Akpabio had in his presentation described The Power To Stay Healthy as the book of life and recommended it to departments of Health and Nutrition in institutions of higher learning.
Taking a critical look at the book, he said the book has 14 chapters and 273 pages, mentioning issues that should be addressed in some of the chapters during its reprinting.
He, however, acknowledged that the book has captured the do’s and don’ts of health in every day life.
