Amidst closure of Nigerian public universities, Nigerian governors have celebrated the graduation of their children from United Kingdom universities.

For more than four months, Nigerian public universities have been shut by members of Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) over disagreement on implementation of UTAS or IPIS, among other demands.

The son of Rivers governor Nyesom Wike graduated with Second Class Honours (Upper Division) in Law from the University of Exeter, United Kingdom.

The ceremony for the Stratham Summer 2022 graduates was held from Monday, July 11 to 15.

They included Governors Seyi Makinde (Oyo), Samuel Ortom (Benue) and Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia).

Similarly, Mohammed Sani Badaru, the son of Jigawa State Governor Badaru Abubakar, has graduated from Brunel University London, in the United Kingdom.
