The 2022 Nigerian idol has nominated Omawumi, former Nigerian idol contestant and singer, as the guest judge on the next show, its website announced.
Omawumi Megbele, known by her stage name Omawumi, is a Nigerian singer-songwriter and actress of Itsekiri Kingdom.
A brand ambassador for Globacom, Konga.com, and Malta Guinness, she is also part of the campaign called “Rise with the Energy of Africa.”
Omawumi who built a following for herself right from her time on West African Idol where she emerged runners-up has since created a career for herself in the Nigerian music industry and Africa at large.

With several hit music albums, from ‘Wonder Woman’ to ‘Love deep high life,’ she went on to the movie industry where she has also made a name for herself.
Omawumi made her screen debut with the AMAA award-winning movie ‘Inale’ and have featured in other blockbuster movies as well.
Meanwhile, the Nigerian idol season 7, Top 6 contestants evicted two after thrilling the crowd on Sunday, May 1.
The show began by announcing a double eviction surprise.
This was after the top 6 opened the floor with a beautiful performance with the song ‘Uptown Funk’ by Bruno Mars.
Faith Afiemo, a singer and songwriter from Delta State, was the first eviction announced by the show.
After the first two performances by Progress and Jordan, the show announced Itohan’s eviction.
Itohan Agbator is a singer and keyboardist from Edo State currently schooling in Rivers State University, Port Harcourt.
The remaining two contestants, Zadok and Banty closed the show with show stopping performances.
