Some Nigerians have reacted to the nomination of Mr. Peter Obi, a former Governor of Anambra State by Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party presidential candidate as his running mate on the February 14, 2019 election.

Obi emerged the preferred choice of both the party and the candidate after a series of consultations by stakeholders in the party and outside it.

Our correspondent gathered that the name of Obi and that of Atiku will be sent to the Independent National Electoral Commission next week.

Meanwhile, Senator Ben Murray-Bruce from Bayelsa State  has congratulated Mr.Obi on his selection as Atiku’s running mate.

Taking to his Twitter handle, Murray-Bruce said, “Congrats my friend and brother, Mr. Peter Obi on your selection as vice presidential candidate to H.E @atiku. Without doubt, this is a solid team that will lift Nigeria to her rightly place amongst the assembly of nations.”
