    Nigeria’s COVID-19 Cases Drop In 24 Hours

    Nigeria recorded 685 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday, bringing the total confirmed cases to 131,242, NCDC confirmed.

    On the other hand, Nigeria recorded eight new deaths from the pandemic bringing the total number of deaths to 1,586 in the country.

    The new cases came from 16 states with Lagos having 355, Kaduna (58), Nasarawa (46), and Kano (40).

    Others were Akwa Ibom (33), Katsina (26), Ogun (25), Osun (21), Rivers (16), Edo (15), Oyo (13), Ondo (12), Borno (11), Ekiti (9), Kebbi (3), and Plateau (2).’’

    Nigeria Centre for Disease Control on its official Twitter handle on Sunday wrote ‘’Till date, 131242 cases have been confirmed, 104989 cases have been discharged and 1586 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.’’

    According to the public health agency, ‘’A multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC) activated at Level 3, continues to coordinate the national response activities.

    ‘’Our discharges today include 901 community recoveries in Lagos State and 123 community recoveries in Plateau State managed in line with guidelines.’’
