    PDP primaries: AKHA, Reps’ candidates ahead of 2023

    Anxiety has calmed following the emergence of candidates under Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) during the Sunday’s primaries to fly the party’s flag in the 2023 general elections.

    The candidates will represent the 26 seats in the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly and 10 Federal Constituencies in the House of Representatives.

    In Essien Udim, Hon Barr Prince Akpabio grabbed the ticket as the party’s flag-bearer while Hon Udeme Otong was picked again for Abak State Constituency.

    In Esit Eket/Ibeno, Engr Udofia Friday Udobia won the primary while Nsit Ibom will see Hon Eric Akpan flying the PDP House of Assembly flag in next year’s general election.

    Etim Ekpo/Ika witnessed incumbent Rt Hon Mfon Idung beating two other aspirants to pick the ticket while Mr Uwemedimo Asuquo emerged as the Uyo State Constituency candidate.

    Obong Godwin Ekpo is PDP’s candidate for Ibiono Ibom State Constituency while Mr Jerry Otu emerged for Ikot Ekpene/Obot Akara ticket.

    In Onna, Sunny Johnny will fly the PDP House of Assembly flag in 2023 while Nsit Atai will have Prince Aniefiok Attah as its candidate.

    While incumbent Hon Barr Otobong Bob won the Nsit Ubium State Constituency, Ukanafun ticket went to Evangelist Emem Udom.

    Itu will continue to have incumbent Hon. KufreAbasi Edidem as the PDP candidate while Oron/Udung Uko was won by Mrs Kenim Onofiok.

    Dr Itoro Etim won the Uruan State Constituency primary while Hon Lawrence Udoide emerged as the party’s flag-bearer for Ini State Constituency.

    Etinan will have Uduak Ekpo-Ufot flying the party’s flag while former Ikono Local Government Area, Hon Itoro Columba won the Ikono State Constituency primary.

    Ibesikpo State Constituency ticket went to Ubong Attah while Selina Ukpatu won the Ikot Abasi State Constituency ticket.

    Uwem Imo-Ita won the Mkpat Enin State Constituency ticket, Oruk Anam went to Prince Sampson Idiong while Urue Offong/Oruko will see Hon Precious Selong as the State House of Assembly candidate.

    Rt Hon Kenim Onofiok won the Oron/Udung Uko Constituency ticke;, Dr Nsidibe Akata won the race for Eket State Constituency ticket while incumbent Chief Effiong Johnson won the Mbo State Constituency ticket.

    For the House of Representatives, Hon Unyime Idem re-emerged for Ukanafun/Oruk Anam Federal Constituency while Abak Etim Ekpo Ika Federal Constituency saw the return of Hon Elder Aniekan Umanah.

    Rt Hon Idongesit Ntekpere won the Essien Udim/Ikot Ekpene/Obot Akara Federal Constituency ticket while Dr Glory Edet emerged the PDP candidate for Ikono/Ini Federal Constituency.

    Itu/Ibiono Federal Constituency was won by Rt Hon Ime Okon while Rt Hon Mark Esset won the ticket for Ibesikpo Asutan/Nsit Atai/Uruan/Uyo Federal Constituency.

    Etinan/Nsit Ibom/Nsit Ubium Federal Constituency was won by two term PDP State Chairman, Obong Paul Ekpo while Rt Hon Uduak Odudoh won the Ikot Abasi/Eastern Obolo/Mkpat Enin Federal Constituency ticket.

    Eket/Esit Eket/Ibeno Federal Constituency saw the emergence of Rt Hon Okpulum Etteh flying the party’s ticket while Okobo/Oron/Mbo/Udung Uko/Urue Offong Federal Constituency was won by Martin Esin.
