    Police Nab man for killing Son with Dane gun

    An unremorseful man from Ikot Ndot village in Ukanafun Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State is in police net over alleged murder of his son with Dane gun.

     One Aniekan James is alleged to have shot dead his son-  one odudu Aniekan James, whom they had been at each other’s throats.

    Addressing a mini press conference at the State Police Headquarters, Ikot Akpan Abia in Uyo Local Government Area on Friday, Olatoye Durosinmi, the Akwa Ibom State Commissioner of Police, said ‘‘On 16/06/2023, one Aniekan James of Ikot Ndot village in Ukanafun L.G.A was arrested by Ukanafun Division for shooting his 35 years only Son who have been having war of words with him, one odudu Aniekan James.

    ‘‘Suspect is suspected to be a habitual murderer who have committed murders in Lagos and Aba in Abia State.’’

    According to him, ‘‘On 15/05/2023, at about 8:05 p.m, one Edu Udeme Ime of Mbak Etoi Village, Uyo was arrested at Urua Ekpa junction by the Command’s Quick Response Squad for being in possession of human skull.

    ‘‘Suspect could not give any reasonable explanation as to why he was in possession of same but named their ring leader who is a suspected ritualist.’’
