One of Nigeria’s Pentecostal fathers, Archbishop Elijah Akpan Mboho, has transited to eternity.
Until his death, Archbishop Elijah Mboho was the prelate, Goodnews Community International Gospel Village, Abak in Akwa Ibom State that made greater evangelism and spiritual waves in the 70s and 80s across the country.
Aged 89, he hailed from Akpan Mboho Family in Atai Otoro, Abak Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State.
In a telephone interview with Straightnews publisher on Easter Monday, Rev. Akaninyene Mboho, one of his brothers, confirmed that the Prelate died Saturday evening and the corpse had been deposited in the morgue.
Rev. Mboho holidaying in Paris, France expressed shock at the demise of the God’s general while his family was still mourning the untimely demise of their sister, Mrs Cosmas Akpan, wife of the Essien Udim Paramount Ruler.
He, therefore, called on Christian community globally and members of Goodnews Community Gospel International Gospel Village to ask God Almighty to grant the bereaved family fortitude to the bear the loss.
Prelate Mboho was one of Akwa Ibom’s philanthropic preachers and spiritual head of The Gospel Village (which also served as a charity home for the homeless children).
He had produced many spiritual sons among whom are Archbishop Cletus Bassey, Apostle Chris Ezeibe, Apostle Godey Udoidung, Apostle David Thompson, Rev. Frank Praise.
Married to Rev (Princess) Edu, Archbishop Mboho is survived by these children: Solomon, Promise, Victoria, Mfon, Ubong, Udeme, Nse, and Elijah.
He attended United Christian International Institute, U.S.A, Triune ‘ Biblical University, Pulso, USA, and Christian Communication where he bagged Ph.D (Theology).
