PSG beat Barcelona, Real Madrid to sign world-class forward in January

Paris Saint-Germain are on a stunning run this season with Neymar, Edinson Cavani and Kylian Mbappe in red-hot form. The French side have one of the deadliest trios in world football right now but are still not content with it.

Alexis Sanchez is reportedly their #1 target right now and they are not going to sit and wait until the summer to make a move for him. Reports in the Mirror suggest that the Ligue 1 side will approach him in the coming weeks to ensure that he signs a pre-contract agreement with them in January.

Sanchez is in the final 6 months of his contract and is free to hold talks with any foreign clubs in January. He is not willing to remain at Arsenal beyond this season and has reportedly ended all negotiations with the Gunners.

Arsene Wenger was hopeful of convincing him to remain at the club beyond this season and rejected a £60 million move for him from Manchester City on deadline day.

    The heart of the matter

Paris Saint-Germain are now set to hold talks with Sanchez in December and convince him to join them in the summer. The French side are willing to offer him any contract he demands and accept any terms he has.

Reports in the last few weeks have linked Sanchez with Barcelona, Real Madrid and Manchester City but the Chile international is now close to moving to France.

Several reports claimed that the Catalan side and Los Blancos were willing to offer him the wages he demanded but it is Manchester City who will feel betrayed as he had agreed to join them last summer itself.

Alexis Sanchez might be the perfect replacement for Cavani at PSG. The Uruguayan striker is reportedly set to be sold after his ‘confrontation’ with Neymar over the whole penalty saga. With Sanchez joining, Neymar would be deployed a more central role while the Chilean will be played on the left-wing.
