Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo reached another historic landmark in his career by scoring his 700th club goal to seal Manchester United’s comeback win over Everton on Sunday.
The 37-year-old forward becomes the first and only player to score seven times a hundred goals in football history.
Having started his career in 2002, Ronaldo sealed the 700 goals averaging 35 goals a season.
He scored five goals in 31 appearances for Sporting, 450 in 438 matches for Real and 101 in 134 games for Juventus. In his first spell for United he netted 118 times in 298 fixtures for the club and in his current second stint has 26 in 48 matches.

On the international stage, Ronaldo is also the highest goal-scorer in International competitions for scoring a world record 117 goals in 191 international games since making his Portugal debut in 2003 added to 700 club goals make him the official top goal-scorer in football history with a record tally of 817 career goals. The iconic No 7 broke the record when he scored twice for his country in a 2-1 win against the Republic of Ireland in their World Cup qualifier on September 1, 2021.
Ronaldo started the match against Everton from the bench but came on for injured Anthony Martial in the 29th minute.
Fifteen minutes later, he slotted home from a Casemiro pass to score the match-winner sealing a 2-1 win for United.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s 700th club goal comes 20 years and two days after his first goal for Sporting Lisbon.
