The two-time World Cup winner is expected to pay £26 million Brazil legend, Ronaldo has declared his interest in buying Spanish second tier side Valladolid, Globo reports.
The Real Madrid ambassador has links to the Segunda Division club as Vice President, Jose Moro as his partner in their wine business Cepa 21.
According ato Brazilin media out Globo, a deal is close, with the two-time World Cup-winner ready to pay £26m to purchase the Segunda Division club.
The report also stated that negotiations are already taking place with Valladolid President Carlos Suarez.
However, Spanish media outlet Marca, claim these reports are jumping the gun and that, at present, there have been no talks but Valladolid president would be willing to sell should such an offer arrive.
Valladolid finished seventh in the second tier last term and were bottom of the table in La Liga in the 2013/14 season. Their highest-ever top flight finish was fourth, back in the 1962/63 campaign, and they were Copa del Rey finalists on two occasions.
Ronaldo has won trophies with Barcelona and Real Madrid during his illustrious career in La Liga. Barca made Ronaldo the most expensive player in the world when they signed him from PSV Eindhoven £13.2m in 1996 and he helped them win the Copa del Rey and Cup Winners’ Cup.
The 41-year-old who played for Barcelona and Real Madrid made a return to Spain with Real Madrid winning a La Liga title in his first season at the Santiago Bernabeu.
