As JJC Skillz, Nigerian songwriter and music producer confirmed separation rumour from his estranged wife, Nollywood actress Funke Akindele Bello has deflected it.
Funke, who has been shortlisted as one of the candidates vying for the post of the Deputy for the Governorship slot under Peoples Democratic Party, returned to social media to celebrate herself on invitation to join Academy Awards.
Skillz had written on his Instagram page informing fans on Thursday morning, June 30, “Dear friends and family, I need to let you know that Funke and I have separated. While it lasted, we shared a lot of things together and have created two beautiful children.
”The last two years have been extremely difficult for us. I know I have tried my best to fix things but I believe it is beyond repair now.

“Three months ago at Funke’s insistence, I moved out of the house. Aside from the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards, I have not been able to get Funke to sit down in an amicable manner to discuss the future of our relationship.
“I am making this announcement, so that the public is clear that we are both pursuing separate lives. We still have issues that need to be addressed such as the custody and wellbeing of our children, which is paramount, as well as business interests which need to be disentangled. But, I have no doubt that these will be resolved one way or the other.”
However, Funke Akindele Sunday officially returned to social media to celebrate herself.
Congratulations have been flooding in for the actress from “Omo Ghetto Saga,” who received an invitation to join the Academy Awards.
Funke Akindele expressed his happiness in a formal statement after receiving an invitation to join the Academy award.
She made a remark “it is such a big deal.”
Akindele penned on her page ”397 notable artists and executives had received invitations from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to join the group in 2022. Professional qualifications were used to choose membership, and representation, inclusion, and equity were continuous goals. There were 71 Oscar nominees and 15 winners among the class of invitees this year.
”The list of 397 individuals invited to join the Oscars as voting members for the nominees and eventual winners included Funke Akindele, director, producer, and writer Blessing Egbe, actor Daniel K Daniel, and Nigerian-born motion picture practitioner and filmmaker Newton Aduaka, who now resides in Europe.”
