So far, 1,200 persons have officially died from COVID-19 in Nigeria, according to Nigeria Centre for Disease Control.
This is as the country recorded 758 new cases of COVID19 on Tuesday, December 15.
Of the number, Federal Capital Territory led the pack with 305 new cases, the highest for the nation’s capital in a day, while Lagos and Kaduna trailed with 152 and 103 infections.
Other states with new cases are Bauchi-44 , Gombe-35, Plateau-31, Rivers-17, Sokoto-15, Kwara-13, Kano-9, Ebonyi-8, Ogun-5, Osun-5, Oyo-4, Edo-4, Anambra-4, Bayelsa-2, Ekiti-1 and Taraba-1.
According to the NCDC, “Nigeria now has a total of 74,132 confirmed cases. 66,494 patients have been discharged so far with 1,200 deaths recorded.”
