According to the police commissioner, the suspect confessed to the police that he made love to the deceased for an hour and shortly after he saw a message on her phone and suspected her of infidelity. He became angry and argument ensued culminating in her being stabbed to death on the neck and on the shoulder.

Amba said, “On August 16, at about 1400hrs, one Moses Awo, a staff of Glo Network reported at Ekeki Police Division that their staff, one Onyinye Faustina Eze, 33 years did not report to work as expected. Awo and one other went to the victim’s house located behind Fido Water company, Kpansia, and the apartment was locked but the television in the room was on and sounding loudly.

“A team of policemen went to the house, forced her door open and found her lying dead in a pool of blood. The room was scattered and the deceased was lying dead facing the ground in a pool of blood.

“The following exhibits were recovered at the scene of crime: a three quarter knicker, a pair of canvass shoes, one damaged pressing iron, one jean jacket, one penknife, one pink coloured singlet, a Nokia handset and a damaged wrist watch. The entire exhibit were stained with blood.

Amba also added that one “Uche Clara Ada, the deceased elder sister suspected one Stephen Ogho-Oghene Akpata, an intending husband to the deceased Onyinye Faustina Eze. Police swung into action and discreet investigations revealed that the suspect absconded to Ghana after the murder. He returned to Badagary few days later. Police tracked and arrested him at Badagary, Lagos on September 1, 2017 and brought him to Bayelsa State same date.

“The suspect confessed that he made love to the deceased at about 0500hrs to 0600hrs on 16/08/17, shortly after making love to her, he saw messages on her phone and suspected infidelity. He became angry and argument ensued between himself and the deceased. He confessed to stabbing her with a knife on the neck and shoulder.

Meanwhile, the police also paraded one Moses Otimba, male, aged 47, of Ogbogoro community for allegedly killing his baby boy. The suspect who confessed to the crime was said to have impregnated Joy, aged 18, younger sister of his wife, who was delivered of the baby by a traditional birth attendant on May 8, 2017.
