A 2016 Nigerian graduate of history from the University of Ibadan has become an academic phenomenon in the University after garnering 6.6 Cumulative Grade Point Average out of 7.0.
The genius identified as Ozibo Ekele graduated from the Ibadan School of History, faculty of arts. NAIJ.com gathered that the University of Ibadan’s department of history has not been able to produce a first-class student since 1948 until Ekele, the young genius broke the record with outstanding results in all his courses.
With his achievement, Ekele, the first student to graduate with first class honours from the department of history in its 69 years of existence, is expected to be honoured with several academic awards in the upcoming 2017 convocation ceremony at the university. The awards would include: best graduating student of both faculty of arts and department of history and many more.
Ekele, who is a native of Agba in Ishielu local government area of Ebonyi state also graduated from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka with a degree in mass communications in 2013.
