The Supreme Court has dismissed the case of Mr. Aniekan Etim, one of the governorship aspirants of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Akwa Ibom State.
Etim had sought the court to join him in an ongoing pre-election matter at the Federal High Court, Uyo now before Justice Agatha Okeke.
In the matter, Akan Okon, an aspirant in the May 26 PDP Governorship primary, is suing Pastor Umo Eno, Akwa Ibom governorship candidate, over alleged forgery of certificates.

A five-man panel of Justices of the Supreme Court led by Justice Kekere Ekun, in a judgment on Tuesday, November 8, said that the Appeal Court was right in dismissing Etim’s case for lacking in substance.
The Supreme Court ordered the plaintiff to withdraw his appeal.
Justice Okeke in dismissing the plaintiff’s case described him as a “meddlesome interloper”.
The judgment of the Supreme Court is said to have cleared the coast for the Federal High Court to give judgment in the pre-election case between Okon and Eno fixed for Friday, November 11.
