News of the sudden death of Nigerian celebrities swept through entertainment industry like an ill-wind with gripping effects on their family members and fans.

Moji Olaiya:
The actress died shortly after giving birth to her second baby on May 18, 2017 in Canada. The 42 year old’s sudden death was caused by a cardiac attack 2 months after she gave birth to a baby girl. She is survived by her father and music icon Victor Olaiya, an aged mother and two daughters.
Eric Arubayi:
The West African Idol winner and gospel artiste reportedly died after taking expired malaria drugs on February 11 2017. Eric is survived by his wife and daughter.
Hector Joberteh:
Hector was assassinated on his way home on September 3rd, 2017 by unknown gunmen. The Gulder Ultimate search winner till his death, lived a conservative lifestyle. He is survived by his wife and child.
Olumide Bakare:
The Veteran Actor suffered a protracted illness from respiratory disorder problem. Before his death, he was fondly called Chief Koko which he got from his role in the TV series, ‘Koko Close’ in the late 9o’s.
Pastor Ajidara:
Adeshina Adesanya popularly known as Pastor Ajidara passed on after a long battle with kidney disease on May 7, 2017. The Yoruba actor died just a few days after his colleagues came out publicly to seek funds for his kidney transplant.

The actor passed on few days before he was billed to travel to India to commence treatment for a kidney transplant.
Adebayo Faleti:
The legendary actor and poet died at a ripe age of 82 at the University College Hospital, Ibadan, Oyo State. He was buried in a royal burial ceremony in the Old Oyo Town.
