The “Only God” motto adopted by the Divine Mandate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Akwa Ibom Chapter before and during the concluded elections as a swan song reverberated at the weekend during a thanksgiving service in far way Ghana, a West African country.

Governor Udom Emmanuel leading of Ephraim Inyang-eyen, the Works Commissioner; Nsikan Linus Nkan, the Finance Commissioner, Orman Esin, the Commissioner for Culture and Tourism; Otuekong Raphael Bassey, the Commissioner for Housing, among others worshipped at Action Chapel International in Accra, Ghana founded by Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams as the host during a three-day Prophetic encounter gathering on Sunday.

The eagle’s gathering was attended by Apostle Chuck Pierce of Global Spheres Organization and Glory of Zion Ministries, Texas, USA. Apostle Obii Pax-Harry of Nehemiah Company and ARISE Nigeria Group. Also, the wife of the Vice President of Kenya who is also a Gospel Minister was there.

At the occasion, Udom, the governor said “I am here with five representatives signifying grace. I am here with a Reverend gentleman to complete presence of a priest that go with a King. Today I am here, First of all, I thank God because when I was here sometime ago. Second, I want to thank the Archbishop. I was here and he prayed for me but I did not take it for granted. And God gave us victory.

“The Lord who answered my prayers will answer yours. As the Archbishop said, the election was between the lion and the bear against David. The lion and the bear are enemies but they ganged up against the lamb to kill it. But at the end of their attack, David triumphed. I am a living testimony that some trust in chariots, some in horses but we trust in the name of the Lord.

The governor who was presented with symbolic pair of shoes and sword and a bouquet of flower recalled “Before the election somebody told me ‘what are you talking about ‘Only God’ knowing the battle is a combination of USA and Russia against you. But working with God is greater than working with the nations put together.”

Elated Archbishop Duncan-Williams said “He is a friend of Mr. President and one of the spiritual sons of this church. He was here before the elections of Nigeria and Akwa Ibom State. For some of you who could remember we spent a lot of time praying for him. When he came here a second time, the Lord said ‘Lift up the sword over him and settle this matter and determine the winner before the elections begin.’ Against all odds and controversies, Udom emerged victorious with the upper hand.

“To the glory of God, some trust in chariots, and many put their faith in political maneuverings. Udom put his faith in God and declared from the beginning ‘Only God’ without knowing what he was saying. And he had his motto ‘Only God’ and the victory was defined by everyone who saw and heard the outcome of the election.

“It was concluded that the election was a battle between David and Goliath. It was not by might nor by power but by the might of God Almighty. Many people did not understand ‘Only God’ but I hope it was Holy Spirit who prophesied and spoke through him. When Udom began saying ‘Only God’ it was not a battle of footmen, nor a battle of intellectual capacity, logic or philosophers, but a battle of horses and chariots which took only God to conquer.”
