The United Kingdom will soon launch a new visa system for skilled foreigners.
The policy will make it easier for science, research and technology workers overseas to move to Britain.
Rishi Sunak, British Chancellor of the Exchequer told UK lawmakers on Wednesday.
Sunak said that he hoped to make Britain the best place in the world for high-growth and innovative companies.
“I’m announcing ambitious visa reform aimed at highly skilled migrants,” Dpa quoted him as saying.
There will be a new unsponsored points-based visa to attract the best and most promising international talent in science, research and tech.
The reform will ensure improved visa processes for scale-ups and entrepreneurs, and radically simplified bureaucracy for high-skilled visa applications.
