    Usenideh Heads NDDC Coop Microfinance Bank

    An Akwa Ibom son, Efremfon Usenideh, has officially  assumed duty as the pioneer Managing Director and Chief Executive of NDDC Coop Microfinance Bank Limited.

    Mr. Usenideh, an indigene of Ukanafun Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State, has 31 years’ post call experience as a lawyer and spent over two decades in foremost Investment and Global Banking brands such as FBN (Merchant Bankers Ltd), the erstwhile Investment Banking arm of First Bank of Nig. plc.

    He has worked for the globally respected then Nigeria Acceptances Limited, popularly then known as NAL Merchant Bank. NAL, as then known trained Atedo Peterside who founded Investment Banking &Trust Company Ltd, one of the founding banks known as STANBIC IBTC.

    NAL produced Samsudeen Usman, Isa Yuguda and Ben Akabiezu who is the current Director-General of the Budget Office in Nigeria; Edet Ekere who served as Executive Director (Ops) at Nigerian Export Import Bank trained at NAL.

    Usenideh has worked for Sterling Bank Nig. Ecobank Group and United Bank for Africa Plc, among others at senior levels. A development banker, lawyer, philanthropist, mentor, farmer, Apostle in the body of Jesus Christ, he apart from doing Retail Banking, Products Development, Corporate Banking, Consumer Lending, Legal, Remedial Management, Relationship Management, Marketing & Sales, Mortgage & Real Estate Investment Banking, has attended various strategic, management and other relevant courses.

    A well-read personae and public intellectual, Usenideh whose parents were both teachers took first positions in his primary education from inception to completion.

    He was one of the pioneer students at Comprehensive Secondary School, Ntak Afaha, Ukanafun. He broke records then on his WASC exams. Not done, in 1991/92, in former Ukanafun Local Government Area comprising Ukanafun and Oruk Anam, he was the only one to have passed his bar final examinations with honours.

    Usenideh graduated from the then University of Cross River State (UNICROSS) now University of Uyo and obtained his LL.B with honours. He also attended the Post Graduate School, University of Lagos where he studied Commercial Law with research interest in Secured Credit Transactions.

    He also obtained a degree in Theology from the Two Witness Christian Institute with headquarters in the United States of America, further to which he was ordained and anointed as an Apostle in the body of Christ.

    In his community, Usenideh has undertaken many free for all projects including water, burials, scholarships, empowerments and housing for widows.

    A devout Christian with non-nonsense toga, he is a member of many professional bodies, a member of Ikoyi Club, married with two boys who live in Lekki, Lagos.

    A member of Ukanafun Economic Development Committee, Usenideh is a thinker, mentor and poised to leverage on his exposure and wide contacts to open a new banking chapter for stakeholders in the bank and the wider public, Ukanafun, Akwa Ibom to the world.
