In this era of growing immorality among most girls in different parts of the world, 10 virgins found on the soil of Okrika town, Rivers State of Nigeria have gotten a right hand of fellowship into womanhood.
The maidens who posed topless with drawings on their bodies were initiated Saturday into womanhood during an annual Iria ceremony held at Okrika market square, Rivers state.
In a Facebook post by Ala Mathias, an indigene of Okrika, Iria ceremony is initiation of virgins into womanhood, a yearly ritual carried out by older women as purification rites of the virgins.
Seen as Okrika Culture, the colourful ceremony is held to cherish the moral value and sanctity among young girls who are not defiled sexually by their male counterparts.
