A 16-year-old Danielle Osasere Clement-Egberanwem Okundaye, has testified at Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, Lagos, giving credit to God for granting her success in qualifying as a member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).

Flanked by the General Overseer of MFM, Dr. Daniel Olukoya and Assistant General Overseers, among others, Miss Okundaye said she was not an Accounting student in the secondary school.

According to her, her parents encouraged her to put in for the exams to wait for her ripe age to gain admission into a university.

‘‘I am a member of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, Region 1, Lagos in the Wecare Ministry Department. I started at Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) three years ago after finishing my secondary education.

‘‘My parents encouraged me to start writing ICAN exams through eight years instead of waiting around until I get to the ripe age of university. So, I started though I was not an Accounting student in the secondary school.

‘‘The exams at the first level were very difficult for me probably not so for other people who were at the same level with me. Obviously, I had to put in extra effort. By the grace of God, I was able to pass the exams at the first level. Ever since then, it has success ever since.

‘‘Last year, I failed one of my final papers, which I had to rewrite early this year in May. To the glory of God, I passed the paper. And now I can say that I am a qualified accountant of the institute,’’ she added.

Thereafter, Dr. Olukoya prayed and blessed her, saying ‘‘You shall move from strength to strength As you started like this, blessing never depart from your life.’’

    MFM Felicitates Danielle

From MFM Instagram page, the church felicitated Danielle thus, ”Today, we celebrate with one of our own, Danielle Osasere Clement-Egberanmwen, as she shares the inspiring testimony of becoming Nigeria’s youngest Chartered Accountant at just 16 years old.

”This extraordinary achievement stands as a powerful testament to God’s faithfulness and what can be accomplished through diligence, discipline, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.

”Her journey is an inspiration to young people everywhere, proving that with God’s grace, determination, and a clear vision, age is never a barrier to greatness.

”Congratulations, Osasere! We pray that this remarkable milestone will be the beginning of even greater accomplishments and that God will continue to lead you from glory to glory,” the message stated.

    Youth Minister Felicitates Danielle

Before then, Minister of Youth Development Ayodele Olawande celebrated the achievement on Monday, calling it proof of what hard work, discipline, and resilience can accomplish.Olawande described Okundaye as “a shining example of the limitless potential of Nigerian youth” and said her feat should push other young Nigerians to dream bigger and stay the course.

The minister also credited the people behind the scenes — her parents, teachers, and mentors — saying their belief in her and the sacrifices they made were central to her success.

He used the moment to reaffirm his ministry’s commitment to building pathways that help young Nigerians grow their talents and reach their full potential.

Okundaye’s qualification breaks a record set in 2022 by Jonathan Adewale, who was 17 when he became the then-youngest chartered accountant in the country.

The ICAN certification is considered one of the most demanding professional qualifications in Nigeria, one that typically takes graduates and seasoned professionals years of intensive study to obtain, making her accomplishment at 16 all the more striking.
