Ahead of the 2023 general election, Primate Elijah Ayodele, the Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has warned Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of Labour Party (LP) of Igbo betrayal.
In a statement signed by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, Primate Ayodele said he foresees betrayal by the Igbo who he claims are giving the presidential candidate fake support.
Ayodele explained that Peter Obi has all it takes to be president but there are many who are with him that won’t add value to his ambition.
He mentioned that God is the only deciding factor on his victory as president and that he should seek for his intervention rather than rely on the ‘fake’ support he is being given by his kinsmen.

‘‘Majority of Igbos following Peter Obi are giving him fake support, He has not done his homework properly to win the 2023 presidential election. He needs to restrategize because it is the Igbos that will betray Peter Obi in the election.
‘‘Peter Obi has all it takes to be Nigeria’s president but his people will betray him, they are only there but they will not add value to make him win. It is not money that will make Peter Obi the president, It is only God that can and he needs to seek God’s intervention for him to win.’’
Ayodele also further noted that Peter Obi’s movement will begin to misbehave towards the end because moles will be planted by those who are planning to frustrate his ambition.
The man of God advised Peter Obi to watch his back even though he has an intimidating support physically but he fears there will be errors that will divide the movement.
‘‘They will support Peter Obi financially but they will fight him spiritually. His movement will begin to misbehave towards the end when it is needed most; this is no joke, it needs to be taken seriously. There are plans to frustrate the Peter Obi movement and moles will be created.’’
‘‘He needs to watch his back so he won’t be betrayed, He should not be underestimated but my fear is there will be errors. Money and greed will pose as a serious division in the group.’’

Be careful of big names- Ayodele warns Obi

Meanwhile, Ayodele, said the camp of the Obi should be careful of big names, saying that some big names would defect to LP to destabilize the party.
He warned that some big names don’t mean well for the Labour Party ahead of the 2023 elections.
In a statement signed by his Media Aide, Oluwatosin Osho, Ayodele said Obi can pull surprises during the presidential election.
He said: “For the Labour Party, the man of God warned the party to be careful of big names that will decamp into the party because some of them don’t mean well for them.
“He mentioned that the candidate, Peter Obi can bring up surprises in the election, but his camp still has a lot to do.
‘’Some people will decamp to the Labour Party to destabilize the party, they must be careful of big names decamping to the party.
“Peter Obi can bring surprises in the election if APC and PDP do not wake up. The camp of Peter Obi still has a lot to do, they are only pursuing their goals ordinarily.’’
