The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has released the name of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate for Akwa Ibom State for the 2023 general elections.
On the INEC Portal dated February 15, 2023, Michael Enyong is published  as the authentic PDP Governorship candidate for Akwa Ibom State.
Enyong is a two-term member representing Uyo/Uruan/Nsit Atai/Ibesikpo Asutan Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.

The publication seen on Page 2 is signed by Rose Oriaran-Anthony, Secretary, INEC under the remarks: Court Order.
Enyong obtained the court order from Federal High Court, Abuja on January 20, 2023.
Though PDP led by Paul Usoro, SAN and Uwemedimo Nwoko, SAN had gone to the court to obtain stay of execution, the Court had refused to grant such.
The court had adjourned the matter to March 15, 2023 while the Governorship election holds on March 11.
Both parties in the case appeared in the Court of Appeal, Abuja yesterday. The legal battle continues as PDP reportedly did not obtain stay of execution.
Meanwhile, visit  INEC website:  www.inecnigeria.org. Go to political parties, click on Amended list of candidates pursuant to court orders. Go to Amendment 4.
