A governorship aspirant from Cross River State on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, said that if he wins, he would live above board by not embezzling public funds.
Usani Usani, Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Wednesday, said that as minister, he executed several projects including roads, rehabilitation of schools, equipping of school libraries and erection of bridges in all parts of the state and would do much more as governor because he would have more funds at his disposal.
“I don’t want to make noise because those who make noise are like pygmies who need platforms to be seen and to be heard but I have accomplished a lot in the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs and even the blind can see what we have achieved in the past three years.”
He eulogised President Muhammadu Buhari for giving key appointments to indigenes of the state, saying that his intention to be governor was to develop the state and not embezzle public funds.
“President Buhari has 110 percent in integrity and those who are fighting him are those who loot the public treasury and want to come back. It is like when you catch a thief in your house and there is no third, he would want to eliminate you because he knows when you are free, he would be brought to justice.”
