Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has confirmed 72 new COVID-19 cases in the country.
In its Twitter handle on Tuesday night, NCDC wrote “On the 2nd of November 2020, 72 new confirmed cases and 1 death were recorded in Nigeria.”
According to the health agency, “The 72 new cases are reported from 9 states- Lagos (51), FCT (6), Ogun (4), Kaduna (3), Niger (2), Ondo (2), Plateau (2), Katsina (1), and Oyo (1).”
“Till date, 63,036 cases have been confirmed, 59,328 cases have been discharged and 1,147 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
“A multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at Level 3, continues to coordinate the national response activities,” it tweeted.
