As the second variant of COVID-19 keep on ravaging, Nigeria’s confirmed cases surged to 1,664 on Wednesday, according to Nigeria Centre for Disease Control.
Of the number, Lagos recorded 642, the highest number, Federal Capital Territory got 407 and Plateau, 160.

”A multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC) activated at Level 3, continues to coordinate the national response activities,” it added.
Meanwhile, NCDC says ‘’Our discharges today include 388 community recoveries in Lagos State, 261 in Kaduna State, 87 in Plateau State and 20 in Imo State managed in line with guidelines.’’
