A video of soldiers allegedly celebrating after the announcement of the removal of Lt. General Tukur Buratai, as the Chief of Army Staff, has been shared online.

Recall that the resignation of the service chiefs was announced Tuesday, January 26 by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Those named as their replacement were Major-General Leo Irabor, Chief of Defence Staff; Major-General I. Attahiru, Chief of Army Staff; Rear Admiral A.Z Gambo, Chief of Naval Staff; and Air-Vice Marshal I.O Amao, Chief of Air Staff.

Publisher, Omoyele Sowore, who shared the video on Twitter, wrote: ”See soldiers rejoicing over the removal of Tukur Buratai as the Chief of Army staff of @HQNigerianArmy imagine what’s #Nigerians will do when his incompetent boss @MBuhari  is also retired permanently from #Nigeria’s political space. imagine it!”
