Senator Shehu Sani, who represented Kaduna Central in the 8th National Assembly, has expressed sadness over the killing of soldiers by terrorists in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
Gunmen suspected to be terrorists had attacked some officials of the 7 Guards Battalion of the Nigerian Army Presidential Guards Brigade in Bwari Area Council of the FCT.
The attack led to the death of more than eight soldiers while others were left seriously injured.
Before now, a group of terrorists in the North West threatened to kidnap President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State.

The threat, made in a video released by the terrorist group, came some weeks after Buhari’s convoy was attacked in Katsina State.
In the viral video, the terrorists, who recently attacked the Kuje prison in Abuja, were seen torturing some of their captives.
One of the terrorists said in Hausa language, “This is our message to the government of Nigeria, and just as you have seen these people here, by God’s grace, you will see your leaders. Your senators and governors will come before us.”
They threatened to kill and sell the kidnap victims with them if the government failed to address their demands
“These ones you are seeing here, we will keep some as our slaves and sell them off just as our Imam told you in the past. Just like the Chibok girls that were sold off, we will equally sell these ones as slaves.
“If you don’t adhere to our demands, we will kill the ones we need to kill and sell the remaining. By God’s grace, El-Rufai, Buhari, we will bring you here,” he said.
Sani, a former governorship aspirant in Kaduna State, in a tweet on Tuesday, revealed the identity of one of the soldiers who recently paid the supreme price.
He condoled with the family of the deceased and the entire Nigerian Army.
The tweet reads, “Jauro Ibrahim Suleiman; One of the casualties of the aftermath of the terrorist attacks in Abuja yesterday.
“We appreciate your life of service and sacrifice. May Allah grant him Aljanna. My condolences to his family and @HQNigerianArmy.”
Meanwhile, a spokesman of the Guards Brigade, Captain Godfrey Anebi Abakpa had stated that troops were searching the area to fish out the terrorists from their hide-outs.
According to him, those killed were Lieutenant Ibrahim Suleiman and Captain Samuel Attah from Kogi State.
While Suleiman, the son of Col. Suleiman Ahmodu Babanawa (rtd), hailed from Okpo in Olamaboro LGA of the state, Attah was from Ibaji Local Government Area of Kogi State in the North Central part of Nigeria.
They were said to be on their way back after they visited the Nigeria Law School, Bwari.
Their visit to the Law School followed a distress call from the authorities of the school after they received a threat letter from the terrorists that they would be attacked soon.
