Fear gripped many as gunmen have abducted the Paramount Ruler of Akpabuyo Local Government Area of Cross River, HRM Etinyin Maurice Nya Edet.

The monarch was kidnapped on Sunday night, December 10, 2023, at his residence in Asin Ufot, Ayamba Ikot Akrika community in the area.

Spokesperson of the state Police Command, SP Irene Ugbo, confirmed the incident, but said details were unknown to her as of press time.
