Nigerian Pastor, Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo, has alleged that his life is under threat after he spoke against what he described as the ongoing Christian genocide in Nigeria, especially in Plateau State.
Rev Dachomo, who is Regional Chairman for the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN) in Barkin Ladi, had on October 15th, stirred major controversy during a mass burial he conducted for 13 people who were killed in an attack carried out by suspected Fulani militants in Rachas village of Heipang District and Rawuru village in Fan District, both in the council.
Dependable NG reports that during the burial, Rev. Dachomo had made a live video where he openly accused the Fulani of carrying out the killing and insisted that it was an orchestrated plan to wipe out the Christian community in Plateau as well as Northern Nigeria.

He had also supported claims that the killing of his church members was part of a Christian genocide despite strong denials by the Nigerian Government and various official bodies.
However, as a result of the video and his insistence that there is an ongoing Christian genocide, especially in Plateau State, Rev. Dachomo has cried out that he has been receiving threats to his life.
The cleric, who raised the alarm while speaking with journalists in Jos on Friday, said his life is in grave danger as he has been marked for elimination as a result of his stance against the killing of Christians.
“My life is in grave danger. Even as I speak, I am on the lookout for attacks. I no longer sleep with my eyes closed. I have been attacked before but escaped. My grandmother was killed, and her heart was removed. My uncle was also killed,” the man of God stated.
He added that the threats have been coming from all sorts of people, including the military authorities, who believe he had indicted them for refusing to act on an intelligence report he had raised of impending attacks on some communities in Barkin Ladi.
“They have been threatening me everywhere, even on social media. They even threatened to kill me during mass burials. They did the same to Senator Gyang Dantong; he was killed during a burial. They have vowed to kill me.
Even the Nigerian Army issued a press release against me, accusing me of inciting people. But they are the ones inciting the Muslims against us by refusing to make arrests,” he stated.
The clergyman admitted that the continuous threat has forced his community to resort to self-defence, adding, “This is what we are facing, and we have now resorted to self-defence; otherwise, the name of Jesus will not be mentioned again in our land. I want the world to know that we are going through the worst, as Jesus said, ‘You will be persecuted.’
So, we are keeping records of what we are passing through, just as the Bible kept records of what Christians endured,” he added. The outspoken clergy stressed that he had received many death threats through phone calls and messages, but emphasized that he is not afraid of death and will continue to speak truth to power and defend his people.
”A Military Officer threatens to kill me”
In a video shared by @Preach_DGospel on X, the preacher said a man identified as a Nigerian soldier threatened to “cut him into pieces” for condemning the killing of Christian believers across the country.
‘‘I don’t know if it is a crime for someone to speak about something that is not right,” he said in the emotional video. “Because I talk about the genocide of believers going on in Nigeria constantly, a military officer came out and threatened my life.”
According to him, the officer not only issued the threat publicly but also mentioned the state and area where he resides, raising fears that his location might have been tracked.
“He said that anywhere we meet, he will butcher me into pieces,” the preacher claimed.
“A military officer, someone that is supposed to protect people’s lives and property, is now the one threatening to kill me,” he added
The preacher said he shared the video to expose the alleged officer’s comment, photo, and profile, calling on Nigerians and the international community to take note.
“Let the world know that among the Nigerian army, there are people supporting these Islamic terrorists going around killing Christians,” he alleged.
“If anything happens to me, hold him responsible,” he concluded.
I will ascend to paradise – he declares
Earlier, he had raised alarm over threats to his life, advising his followers and family not to pay any ransom if he is kidnapped.
The statement follows the circulation of a video warning about the killing of Christians.
“I have already told my family and members: if they kidnap me, nobody should contribute a dime. My life is in grave danger,” he said.
Dachomo also framed the possibility of his death as a form of martyrdom.
“I will ascend to paradise, and from there, I will make the Muslims uncomfortable, leading them to repent and accept Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour,” he said.
He thanked supporters on social media for standing by him and said their support will be rewarded by God.
