As part of its commitment to sustainable community development and strengthening host community relations, Ibom Developers FZE has presented a cheque of N2.5 million for restoration of electricity in Ohanso Umumba Ama-Ano Ndoki Community, Ukwa East Local Government Area of Abia State.

Presenting the cheque for purchase of electrical accessories on behalf of the company on Saturday, the Community Development Programmes Coordinator, Ms. Grace Inyang reaffirmed the company’s commitment to delivering on its promises and fostering meaningful partnerships with its host communities.

Ms. Inyang noted that Ibom Developers FZE has consistently maintained a reputation for making positive impacts wherever it operates, adding that the contribution was a fulfilment of an earlier commitment made by the company to support the community’s electricity restoration project.

Receiving the cheque, the Head of the Community, Chief Godfrey I. Akara, thanked Ibom Developers FZE for honouring its commitment.

Chief Akara confirmed that the funds had already been deposited in the community’s bank account, and assured that immediate steps would be taken to ensure the restoration of electricity within the community.

He pledged that the company’s intervention would augment the financial contributions already made by members of the community toward the project.

“We sincerely thank Ibom Developers FZE for keeping to its promise. The money has already been received in our bank account, and in the coming days, we will commence the necessary actions towards restoring electricity to our community. This support will complement the contributions already made by our people, and we assure the company that every kobo will be judiciously utilised,” he stated.

Chief Akara described the people of the community as progress-minded and peace-loving, expressing optimism for stronger collaboration with the company in the years ahead.

Acknowledging the company’s contribution to youth empowerment, he remarked that more than 40 youths from the community are currently employed across Ibom Developers FZE project sites, describing the development as a significant boost to the local economy and community welfare.

Also speaking, the Youth President of Ukwa East Local Government Area, Comrade Wisdom Eleliadike Akata, applauded the company for the intervention, and reaffirmed the support of the youths for the company’s operations.

We are delighted to have Ibom Developers FZE operating in our area, and we sincerely appreciate the company for this support presented today. We look forward to an even stronger partnership,” he said.

The Community Relations Officer (CRO), Hon. Franklin Chimdiya Nwadei, reiterated the company’s commitment to sustaining cordial relations with the community, assuring stakeholders of more collaborative engagements that would promote peace, mutual trust, and shared development.
