After losing two wives in 18 years to the cold hands of death, Taiwo Odukoya, the senior pastor of Fountain of Life Church, has joined them in the celestial home.

The church confirmed his demise on its official Facebook page on Tuesday.

The Lagos-based pastor died in the United States of America (USA) on Monday, the church said.

“The Fountain of Life Church Family, in total submission to the will of God Almighty, announces the passing unto greater glory of our Father, our Teacher, a great servant of the Most High God, Pastor Daniel Taiwo Odukoya, founding pastor of The Fountain of Life Church, who passed unto glory on the 7th of August 2023 in the USA.

“We are in total submission to you LORD!!! We thank the Lord for the gift of a great leader!!!”, the church stated.

The cause of death was not stated.

The preacher’s death comes less than two years after his 47-year-old South African wife, Nomthi Odukoya, died on November 9, 2021 after a two-year battle with cancer.

They were married for 11 years and had two children.

He married Nomthi after his first wife, Bimbo, the televangelist died in the Sosoliso plane crash in 2005.

    Reaction

The former director general of the OBIDATTI Presidential campaign council, Doyin Okupe has reacted to the death of Pastor Odukoya

The report of the death of the pastor surfaced online on Tuesday and there have been several reactions from Nigerians

The former DG of the OBIDATTI Presidential campaign council took to his official Twitter page to comment over the death of the clergyman

According to the post that Doyin Okupe put out on his page, he regarded the deceased as his father and his spiritual mentor

He expressed sadness stating that his spiritual mentor is gone.

In his post, he said that may the soul of the departed rest in perfect peace.

He ended his post by saying that only God giveth and only Him alone taketh.

“The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh. Glory be to His Holy name,” he said.
