An Akwa Ibom person and a first-class graduate of Marine Engineering has been killed by unknown gunmen in Rivers State.
He was Mfoniso Umoh who graduated from Arab Academy of Maritime Transport, Alexandria in Egypt in March 2017.
Umoh who served as National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member in Port Harcourt, Rivers State capital was hit by stray bullet of the gunmen who attacked and killed many including policemen along Peter odili Road on Monday, January 8.
Though he has been buried, Umoh’s friends were unhappy that NYSC secretariat and the Rivers State government did not publicly condemn the perpetrators of the sad incident.
