“Permit me to use this opportunity to thank His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Mr Udom Emmanuel for the solid support and emphasis played by the present administration in the state on poverty reduction, inclusive development and above all, touching the lives of the vulnerable and less privileged at the grassroots.

“Community and Social Development Project aims at providing the basic facilities that will transform the condition of life of all in the rural areas and give voice to the poor, downtrodden and marginalized.

“At the end of the workshop, it is expected that a robust relationship would have been established between the State Agency, State Ministries, Department and Agencies and the Local Government for a realistic and sustainable projects implementation”. He said

Earlier, the General Manager, Akwa Ibom State Agency for Community and Social Development Project(AK-CSDP), Mr Ishmael Akpan hinted that so far, the agency has facilitated implementation in 89 communities in the state.

“I wish to add that the projects development objective of CSDP falls within the policy goals and objective of the present administration in Akwa Ibom State, namely: job creation, poverty alleviation, wealth creation, political and economic inclusion and infrastructural consolidation and expansion.
