In a sustained crackdown on criminals in the state, Police raided a compound used as a church front by members in Akwa Ibom and arrested seven suspects.

The police command, propelled by intelligence-driven operation, busted another major breakthrough in crime prevention in line with the directive of the Inspector-General of Police to decisively combat crime.

‘‘Acting on credible intelligence indicating that suspected criminals were hibernating in a compound disguised as a church, the Command swiftly mobilized for a targeted operation. At about 0600hrs on 8th April 2026,’’

‘‘The operation led to the arrest of seven (7) suspects, namely: Preacher brain ebeka m’, Kenneth Ezekiel ‘m’, Dickson Ndueso ‘ m’, Abang Rowland ‘m’, Esther Elijah Okon  ‘f’, Joy Elijah Okon  ‘f’, and Esther Elijah Okon ‘f’’, a statement by the command’s spokesperson, DSP Timfon John, for the Commissioner of Police, on Wednesday, April 8, stated.
