    Akwa Ibom explodes in joy as Apostle Okoriko regains Freedom

    Akwa Ibom State has exploded in joy following the release of popular the televangelist, Apostle John Okoriko, the founder and President of Solid Rock Church by his abductors.
    Inspiration FM, Uyo has reported Friday evening that the ace preacher has been released after his three days in the kidnappers’ den.
    It has not been confirmed if the family had paid N30 million ransom demanded by his abductors.
    According to Journalist Harrison Essien, the clergyman has regrouped with his family and some Church members.
    After the news was broken many have taken to Facebook to thank God for the release of the septuagenarian.

    ”Ifod ibagha…. Thank you Jesus,” Abasiama Umohatah declared.
    Okoriko was abducted by unknown gunmen at his residence in Ibekwe Akpa Nya in Mkpat Enin Local Government Area of the state.
    Family sources, who spoke to newsmen in Uyo on Friday, stated that the abductors used the victim’s phone number to communicate with the family so they could raise N30 million.
    Recall that the abductors had on Tuesday, demanded for N100 million ransom when contact was established with the family shortly after the kidnap.
    However, the story is yet to be confirmed by the state Police Public Relations Officer, Odiko MacDon.
