After eight years of marriage without children, Mrs. Nseobong Nkitma Uloh from Ukuda in Urue-Offong/Uruko Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom is in a joyous mood after giving birth to quadruplets in the early hours of last Friday.

Though the family is ecstatic, she is concerned over dearth of financial resources facing the family to raise the four children- two boys and two girls- during this era of economic hardship in the country.

Speaking with newsmen at the University of Uyo Teaching Hospital, Uyo on Sunday, the mother of the quadruplets, Mrs. Uloh, said she is the happiest woman on earth, after delivering four babies in one day, attributing it to the grace of God.

A nurse by profession, she advised women who are expectant of children, to be patient and to wait for the day that God, the giver of children will compensate them.

The mother advised those who are yet to welcome their babies to remain focused on God, and not lose hope, but should continue to hold on to God, the author and finisher of their faith.

The 38-year-old mother has, on behalf of her husband, appealed to the State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, Office of the First Lady of Akwa Ibom State, NGOs and philanthropists to come to their aid, to ensure the children have a better future.

According to her, the four children belong to Akwa Ibom and Nigeria and not just for the parents alone.

Also speaking, the maternal grandfather of the babies, Mr. William O. Williams, a retired civil servant from Etinan Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, joined her daughter to appreciate God’s goodness and blessings showered on her third daughter, describing the gifts of the four babies as God’s own doing and not man’s doing.

Mr. Williams said as a person, he was so worried, after his daughter, was given in marriage for eight good years without fruit of the womb, but returned glory to God, for everything has ended in praise.

He noted that there was no need going from one prayer house to another, seeking miracle children and and advised those seeking children to be patient and wait on God, who will surely visit them when the time is right.
