Nigeria has witnessed a spike in COVID-91 confirmed infections with 324, according to Nigeria Centre for Disease Control.
This is as Akwa Ibom State has recorded eight more cases, bringing total confirmed cases to 348 while 321 have been discharged and nine persons had died.
Of the confirmed cases from 11 states in the country, Lagos has regained as epicenter with 115 cases while Federal Capital Territory and Kaduna are on neck-to-neck race with 110 and 57 respectively.
In its tweet on Friday, NCDC stated “On the 4th of December 2020, 324 new confirmed cases were recorded in Nigeria.
“The 324 new cases are reported from 11 states- Lagos (115), FCT (110), Kaduna (57), Taraba (9), Akwa Ibom (8), Plateau (6), Bauchi (4), Ekiti (4), Kano (4), Katsina (4) and Rivers (3).
On the caseloads of the pandemic, it noted “Till date, 68,627 cases have been confirmed, 64,467 cases have been discharged and 1,179 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
“A multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at Level 3, continues to coordinate the national response activities.”
