The member representing Ukanafun/Oruk Anam Federal Constituency in the National Asssembly, Unyime Idem has donated 100 laptop computers worth millions of Naira to 100 youths of his constituency after a three-day training on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and Digital Entrepreneurship.

At the ICT training he sponsored, Idem also empowered the trainees with cash grants after the all-expense paid training, which covered hotel accommodation and three-square meals for the entire training period.

During presentation of the computers and cash grants to the trainees, Idem who was represented by a former Commissioner for Education in Akwa Ibom state, Dr. Paul Udofia, reiterated that the training and empowerment programme was to equip them with the requisite skill set to succeed in today’s technology-driven world.

The Ukanafun-born parliamentarian charged them to function, compete, expand, and dominate the ICT space, which is an unending world of opportunities, having been empowered with the skills, tools, and contacts.

The National Assemblyman congratulated them for demonstrating dedication and perseverance while working tirelessly to acquire new skills and knowledge in the field of ICT.

‘‘Use the tools and expertise garnered during the training to excel in the digital world while underscoring the need for them to make a significant impact in their communities, workplaces, and beyond.

‘‘It will give me great joy to see them stay updated with the latest trends and technologies and share their knowledge. Mentor others and contribute to their communities, innovate, create, and use the skills to solve real-world problems.

‘‘Let me express sincere gratitude to Cassell Consultancy Limited, for doing a thorough job of empowering the trainees with valuable ICT skills, while being hopeful that the investment of the team members will undoubtedly have a lasting impact on the trainees and the constituency,’’ he added.

The Managing Director of Cassell Consultancy Limited, Mr. Michael Adewole praised the trainees for their attentiveness and involvement in the course of the exercise, stressing that the skills acquired will open doors to new opportunities, enhance employability, and foster innovation.

Hear him, “We’ve explored exciting frontiers – from building websites to leveraging Artificial Intelligence in business to mastering data analysis with Excel. You’ve gained the kind of knowledge that opens doors and sparks  possibilities. The real power lies in what  you do next – keep learning, keep creating, and use technology to make a difference in your world.
