Arsenal and Liverpool tamed their soccer opponents- Burnley and Brentford- in the English Premiership League thriller on Saturday.
While Arsenal thumped Burnley 5-0, Liverpool crushed Brentford 3-0 at Anfield.
Bukayo Saka scored twice as Arsenal continued their blistering goal scoring form to thrash Burnley and close the gap at the top of the Premier League to two points.
Jakub Kiwior’s long throw down the line then found an unmarked Havertz, who ghosted in behind the defence and drilled past home goalkeeper James Trafford to complete a comprehensive win for the Gunners.
Arsenal, who have 21 goals in five straight wins, move two points behind leaders Liverpool, while Burnley remain in the relegation zone.

And the in-form Gunners may even have scored more at Turf Moor, with Trossard going close on two occasions before he eventually found the net.
Havertz continually caused problems by picking up pockets of space with his movement off the ball while Saka, Trossard and Martinelli interchanged in the box to regularly threaten.
Meanwhile, Mohamed Salah scored and assisted off the bench on his return as Liverpool won 4-1 at Brentford to remain top of the Premier League but also suffered a potential triple injury blow.
Darwin Nunez’s chip finished off a devastating counter for Liverpool’s opener late in the first half but they did, however, lose Diogo Jota, stretchered off, and Curtis Jones to injury either side of the goal. Nunez was also taken off at half-time after feeling a little niggle.
Salah replaced Jota and found his feet after the break, setting up Alexis Mac Allister for Liverpool’s second before adding their third as the leaders after nearly a month out injured. Ivan Toney got one back for Brentford but an error from Nathan Collins handed Cody Gakpo Liverpool’s fourth to end the game.
Liverpool will nervously wait to learn the extent of those injuries ahead of next Sunday’s Carabao Cup final against Chelsea at Wembley, with Trent Alexander-Arnold, Dominik Szoboszlai and Alisson already on the injury list. They also face Luton on Wednesday in the league.
Liverpool had gone five points clear at the top with the victory in west London but their lead was then cut back to two points after Arsenal won 5-0 at Burnley, while Brentford drop to 14th.
This was as the reigning champions Manchester City forced Chelsea to 1-1 draw at Etihad Stadium.
Raheem Sterling finished off a fine counter-attacking move minutes before half-time to hand Chelsea a surprise lead.

Despite resilient defensive performance in the second-half, Chelsea could not quite hold on in Manchester City. Rodri’s powerful strike with just over five minutes of normal time remaining ensured the points were shared.
