Chairman of Nigerian Medical Association, NMA, Eket branch, has filed a N500 million suit against Speaker of Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Mr. Onofiok Luke over alleged assault along Obot Idim-Ibesikpo Road, Akwa Ibom State. The Benue State Police Command have arrested a robbery kingpin, who allegedly masterminded the attack on a police station leading to the death of three police officers. Eight committees inaugurated by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) are tasked to return Nigeria’s three refineries to 90 per cent capacity utilisation before the end of 2019. A statement issued Wednesday by Ndu Ughamadu, NNPC spokesman on behalf of Maikanti Baru, group managing director says the committees are also charged with the responsibility of rehabilitating the nation’s refineries to achieve their “optimal levels of performance. A 21year-old who attempted committing suicide in Calabar is said to be responding to treatment at the Cardiotheracicc Ward of the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital (UCTH).
