The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has sanctioned 50 Computer-based Test (CBT) centres in the country for examination malpractice. Consequently, JAMB has delisted the cybercafes from downloading WAEC, NECO results and would not allow them to register candidates beginning from the 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). A total of N812.76 billion revenue was shared by the Federal Government, states and local government councils in the country for November. The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Finance, Mr. Mahmoud Isa-Dutse told newsmen on Wednesday in Abuja the outcome of the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) meeting. The Federal Government has declared three days as Public Holidays to mark the Christmas, Boxing Day and New Year Celebrations respectively. The days are Tuesday 25th, Wednesday 26th December, 2018 and Tuesday 1st January, 2019. No fewer than 53 journalists were killed on the job while 34 were targeted for murder in reprisal for their work globally from January to December 14, this year. The number makes 2018 the deadliest year for journalists in the past three years, the Committee to Protect Journalists, CPJ, said in its annual analysis.
