Condemnations have trailed the arrest of President of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Joe Ajaero by the Department of State Services (DSS). At the end of a meeting of NLC’s National Administrative Council (NAC) on Monday, the union gave the secret police midnight on Tuesday to release Ajaero. It was gathered that Ajaero was arrested at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Aiport in Abuja on Monday on his way to the United Kingdom for an official assignment, the NLC said. The Nigeria National Petroleum Company Ltd (NNPCL) on Saturday said there is no guarantee of lower price  as it is set to commence lifting petrol from the Dangote Refinery.  NNPCL would reportedly commence lifting petrol from the refinery on September 15.
