According to Punch, Melaye was whisked away from the hospital this afternoon at about 2:15pm in a commando style. Hundreds of passengers plying Maiduguri-Damaturu Highway were on Wednesday stranded as the Nigerian Army temporarily closed the only safe highway following a siege laid on the road by Boko Haram insurgents.
