The Commercial Courts of England and Wales Monday ruled in favour of Nigeria in the enforcement of a $11bn arbitration award against Process & Industrial Developments (P&ID) Limited. With the judgement handed down physically in open court, and electronically by email to the parties on Monday, Nigeria has succeeded in stopping the enforcement of the award which was initially in favour of P&ID. A Nigerian woman from Nnewi in Anambra State reportedly delivered nine children (nonuplets) in Cameroon recently without any operation. Lady Anthonia Madu Obianuju, the mother, described the set of nonuplets comprising six girls and three boys as remarkable and unforeseen considering that the ultrasound predicted twins prior to delivery. Multiple accidents Sunday occurred at Kara Bridge also known as Odo Ogun Bridge along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway claiming lives of four occupants of one of the vehicles involved in the crash, a Mazda Inter-State bus. The accident according to an Official of the Ogun State Traffic Control agency, TRACE, involved a Truck carrying two 20 Feet Containers, an SUV and an Inter-State Mazda commercial bus carrying passengers. The Benue State Police command arrested four and killed two of the suspected robbers who attacked four commercial banks in Otukpo. Some robbers on Friday attacked commercial banks in Otukpo, killing at least 10 persons and carted away undisclosed sum. The average retail price of a litre of petrol increased from N191.65 in September 2022 to N626.21 in September 2023, declared the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS). NBS made the declaration in its Petrol Price Watch for September 2023 released in Abuja Saturday. An Court of Appeal has nullified the election of the Senate Minority Leader, Simon Mwadkwon of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), representing Plateau North Senatorial District. In a judgment in Abuja on Sunday, a three-member panel of the court found, among others, that the PDP had no valid candidate in the election.
