Office of Nigeria’s Auditor-General of the Federation has uncovered irregular payment for contracts amounting to N197.72 billion. These were discovered in Rural Electrification Agency agencies, Nigerian Bulk Electricity Trading Plc, a subsidiary of Central Bank of Nigeria, Nigerian Security Printing and Minting Company and other Ministries, Departments, and Agencies in the country. A court in the British Virgin Islands has ordered Chinese investors, Zhongshan, to seize Nigeria’s £20 million ($25 million) foreign-denominated assets.
