A total of 49 of the 71 people died on board in a plane crash at Nepal main airport. Police said Tuesday an investigation was ordered into the cause of the accident. It followed seeming confusion over landing instructions before the plane,flying low and erratically, struck the ground and erupted in flames. Flight BS211 from Dhaka to Kathmandu was carrying 67 passengers and four crew members. Police spokesman Manoj Neupane said Tuesday that 49 people were confirmed to have been killed and 22 injured. A business woman, 30, in Sokoto has been remanded in prison custody over alleged murder of her baby born out of wedlock. Rabiat Mustapha, who resides at Asada area of Sokoto, is facing a two-count charge of criminal conspiracy and preventing a child from being borne or causing it die after birth. The accused pleaded guilty to the charge. Abubakar Adamu, the Chief Magistrate, however, said the court lacked jurisdiction over the matter but ordered that the accused be remanded in prison custody. Muyideen Alani of no fixed address is facing a two-count charge bordering on reckless driving which resulted to the death of one Mohammed Lawan. The prosecutor, Insp. A violent clash between a herdsman and a farmer in Onunwakpu community of Izzi local government area in Ebonyi State has led to the death of four persons and many wounded. Enugu State is among the states in the country that have made an up-to-date payment of counterpart funds for the immunization of children against childhood killer diseases, the World Health Organization (WHO) has revealed. The Anambra State government has spent N76 billion under the Choose-Your-Project initiative for the provision of infrastructure in 181 communities and construction of 66 markets in the state. Ogbuefi Tony Nnacheta, the Commissioner for Information and Communications Strategy, who briefed reporters in Awka said while N20 million was spent by each community on the choose- your- project initiative, each market executed project cost N10 million.
