After languishing 53 days in kidnappers’ den, three Catholic Reverend Sisters and three women, who were kidnapped by gunmen in Edo State, have regained their freedom. The sisters are serving with the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus Convent while the other women were picked from another location. Public primary school teachers in Kaduna State will commence indefinite strike on Monday, January 8 in solidarity of their 21,780 members sacked by the state government. In a notice of strike dated January 4, 2018 and signed by the union’s Assistant Secretary General, Adamu Anglo, the state Wing of the Nigerian Union of Teachers (NUT) directed its members to proceed without delay.
