The Nigerian Senate has declared Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, an ‘enemy of democracy,’ who is not fit to hold public office in Nigeria and abroad. A two-day fierce inter-communal clashes  between Ikot Offiong people of Odukpani local government area  in Cross River State and their Ikot Offiong neighbours in Itu local government area of Akwa Ibom State has reportedly left more than 11 people mostly women and children dead. A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, Tuesday, adjourned till June 11 to rule on an application seeking to stop further hearing on the money laundering charge the Federal Government preferred against the Commandant of Peace Corps of Nigeria, Mr. Dickson Akor.
