As Nigeria joins the world in marking this year’s World Malaria Day, the country has secured $300 million from World Bank, Islamic Development Bank and African Development Bank to help finance its national malaria strategy. This is coming on the heels of the Commonwealth Health Ministers’ launch of the Commonwealth Nations Initiative at the Malaria Summit London 2018, to curb malaria by half by 2023. Akwa Ibom government has pledged to reward excellence among the corps members and provide enabling environment for them to succeed during their service year.
